Ab Ek Goonj inspires womenhood globally and internationally

Hi Guys, Welcome back to my blog.

Ab Ek Goonj has come up with a drive which is led by women and is for women. It is the treasure chest of womanhood that aims to inspire and project womanhood in it’s true form in India and globally. It is the trip of a lifetime that is led by 5 female bikers and 5 female four wheeler riders with a clear intention to spread awareness and bring some difference in the lives of people, especially women.

Ab Ek Goonj is a social initiative of Nirvana Foundation that thrives to build sustainable change in the society in the sectors related to literacy, poverty, girl child education, women empowerment etc. The foundation believes that there are many stereotypes in the Indian society that need to be addressed sincerely, thus Goonj signifies the same notion that will work for the social awareness programs and issues. These 3 Female Bikers & women riders will be travelling 36000 Kms covering 77 districts of 25 states for a period of 120 days throughout PAN India with crossing 5 International borders i.e Nepal, Tibet, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Pakistan. (Pakistan Approval in terms of Indian security is yet to be received).

Ab Ek Goonj is documented in a COFFEE TABLE BOOK as well as a Nonfiction Series which will be aired on later.

This initiative is not about fashion, travel, food or social but it is about recognizing the importance of women in society and talking about their problems as well as achievements.

The initiative was announced through an event and was seen supported by Anurag Batra, Editor of Business World, Samara Mahindra, Creator & Founder, Susieben Shah, Socialite, Ami Savla Hemnani, an Entrepreneur, Kalashri Barve, Writer & Art Director, Jyoti Dhawale, HIV Activist, Viral Modi, Disabled Activist, Tanvi Jagadish, 1st surfer Girl, Mayura Amarkant, an Entrepreneur, Manjulika Pramod, Blogger, Abhinav Singh, Blogger and Ketaki Jani, Activist.

The Performances were held by Kunal Motling, the Mime Act and Jugalbandi of poems and comedy on issues called ‘2 brown bards’ by Smita Sahay & Kajal Srinivasan.

The initiative is not a one day initiative but would be prolonged for 120 days or more.
